Marshall Health Network hospitals recognized by Healthgrades for commitment to quality care and exceptional outcomes

Marshall Health Network hospitals have once again been recognized by Healthgrades, the leading resource that connects consumers, physicians and health systems.

The achievements below place both Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) and St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC) in the upper echelon of hospitals nationally for specialty care and reflect the organization’s commitment to consistently delivering the best care possible.

Marshall Health Network - Cabell Huntington Hospital

CHH was recognized among America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care for four years in a row (2022-2025). This is the highest achievement Healthgrades offers and places CHH in the top 1% of hospital-wide recognitions.

In addition, CHH was among America’s 100 Best Hospitals in the following areas:

  • Joint Replacement for fourteen years in a row (2012-2025)
  • Orthopedic Surgery for seven years in a row (2019-2025)
  • Pulmonary Care for two years in a row (2024-2025). CHH was also ranked second in the state for Pulmonary Care.

Cabell Huntington Hospital was also recognized for the following clinical achievements:

  • Joint Replacement Excellence Award for 18 years in a row (2008-2025)
  • Neurosciences Excellence Award for five years in a row (2021-2025)
  • Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award for five years in a row (2021-2025)

  • Gastrointestinal Care for two years in a row (2024-2025)
  • Outpatient Joint Replacement Excellence Award for second year in a row (2024-2025)

SMMC was recognized for the following clinical achievements:

  • Vascular Surgery Excellence Award for three years in a row (2023-2025)
  • Surgical Care Excellence Award (2025)
  • Named among top 10% in the nation for vascular surgery for three years in a row (2023-2025)
  • 5-star rated for Hip Fracture treatment outcomes for ten years in a row (2016-2025)
  • 5-star rated for Carotid Surgery for three years in a row (2023-2025)
  • 5-star rated for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (2025)
  • 5-star rated for Treatment of Respiratory Failure (2025)
