Amy Adams, BSN, RN-BC, has been named Ambulatory Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Director for Marshall Health Network. In this new role, Adams will lead the integration and oversight of the Gastroenterology service line across our system. With a focus on operational efficiency, quality outcomes, and service line growth, she will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and the continued advancement of GI services.
Adams brings 30 years of nursing experience, specializing in medical-surgical care and endoscopy. She is a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse and most recently served as the Coordinator of Endoscopy at St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she was instrumental in driving process improvements and delivering high-quality patient care.
After graduating from St. Mary's School of Nursing, Adams completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University. She plans to begin pursuing her master’s in healthcare administration this fall.
Adams’ roots with St. Mary’s Medical Center run generations deep. Her mother, the late Margaret Donley, also a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing, dedicated her entire career to St. Mary’s, retiring as the Director of Organizational Development and Learning in 2015. The family later established a scholarship fund in her honor through St. Mary’s School of Nursing to support future generations of caregivers. Continuing this remarkable legacy, Adams’ son will begin his career at St. Mary’s this August.
Please join us in congratulating Amy on her new role and supporting her as she helps shape the future of GI care across Marshall Health Network.
