Marshall Health Network Sleep Disorders Centers

Sleep is essential. Along with nutrition and exercise, sleep is one of the three pillars of a healthy lifestyle. Healthy sleep improves your health and quality of life in a variety of ways. Healthy sleep involves making the right choices to prioritize and protect sleep.

The amount of sleep you need changes as you age, so it's important to know how much rest is recommended for your age group to maintain overall health and well-being.

At Marshall Health Network's Sleep Disorders Centers, our specialists are trained to identify all sleep disorders, whatever their origin, including:

  • Insomnia: trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or waking earlier than you would like
  • Sleep apnea: breathing stops repeatedly and snoring, snorting or gasping for breath occur during sleep
  • Narcolepsy: inability to stay awake, despite having a good night's sleep
  • Restless leg syndrome and periodic limb disorder: legs thrash or moving during sleep, muscles ache and a crawling or restless sensation in the legs
  • Parasomnias: sleepwalking, night terrors, severe nightmares and/or bed wetting
