HIMG Laboratory Awarded Reaccreditation

Marshall Health Network – HIMG laboratory has received reaccreditation by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), the regulatory body that ensures the quality and accuracy of clinical laboratory testing.
The CLIA inspection assessed more than 700 regulatory standards across the entire clinical laboratory department. Reaccreditation underscores the HIMG laboratory’s ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and regulatory compliance.
“It speaks volumes about the dedication, expertise, and attention to detail our laboratory team brings to their work every day.” said Matthew Brooks, MLS(ASCP)CM, director of clinical laboratory services, MHN. “I continue to be impressed by our staff who commits to meeting these standards and expectations every day.”
The preparation for the inspection was a collaborative effort, with key support from Medical Director Mohamed Alshal, MD, lab manager Brett Hall, and lab supervisor, Susan Keyser.
The successful reaccreditation underscores Marshall Health Network’s ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
HIMG is an outpatient department of St. Mary’s Medical Center located at 3075 U.S. Route 60, Huntington.
