Gilkerson named director of perioperative services for Cabell Huntington Hospital

Marshall Health Network-Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) has named Tenille Gilkerson, MSN, RN, director of perioperative services.

Gilkerson began her nursing career at the Cabell Huntington Surgery Center in 2011 where she has been in perioperative services. She was named clinical coordinator for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Outpatient Surgery in 2019 and has served as assistant director of perioperative services since October 2022.

Gilkerson helped oversee the opening of the new endoscopy suite in the Shell Medical Pavilion and led CHH in achieving Center of Excellence designation for Surgical Smoke Evacuation.

“Tenille has consistently demonstrated strong clinical expertise, thoughtful leadership and a deep commitment to patient-centered care,” said Maria Summers, vice president of nursing and patient services at CHH. “We are excited to see her continue advancing perioperative care for our community in this new role.”

Gilkerson earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Executive) from Chamberlain University.
