The Power of Volunteers

Volunteers and auxiliary members are an essential part of the Marshall Health Network, each contributing in different but equally meaningful ways.

Our volunteers provide comfort, encouragement and connection during some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether greeting visitors, assisting at information desks, transporting patients or offering companionship, their kindness helps create a more welcoming and compassionate environment across our hospitals and clinics.

In 2025, 324 adult volunteers donated their time and talents in service to our patients and communities. Our VolunTeen program continues to grow as well. Each spring, students ages 14 to 17 join the team to learn the value of service while giving back to their community. In 2025, 167 students participated, with even more expected to take part in 2026.

Auxiliary members support Marshall Health Network through fundraising, advocacy and community engagement efforts that enhance patient care and expand services. Their generosity has helped fund projects that directly benefit patients, including transport wheelchairs, heart pillows for cardiac patients, breast cancer education kits, oncology blanket warmers and major initiatives such as the North Patient Tower at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Together, volunteers and auxiliary members embody the spirit of service that has long defined Marshall Health Network, strengthening the connection between our hospitals and the communities we are privileged to serve.
