Marshall Health Network expands dermatology team with two new physicians

Marshall Health Network has expanded its dermatology team with the addition of Jacob R. Kilgore, M.D., and Drew Desrosiers, M.D., bringing additional expertise in medical and pediatric dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, dermatopathology and Mohs micrographic surgery. 

Kilgore joins Marshall Dermatology as an assistant professor of dermatology at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, followed by a dermatology residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. 

Kilgore specializes in medical and pediatric dermatology, providing comprehensive, individualized care for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions and concerns. He has a particular interest in skin cancer detection and treatment, complex medical dermatology and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). He places a strong emphasis on helping patients understand their diagnosis, why their condition developed and the reasoning behind treatment options. 

Drew Desrosiers, M.D.

Desrosiers joins Marshall Dermatology as a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. He is additionally board certified in both dermatopathology and dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. His specialized training allows him to provide care across the continuum of skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, from examining tissue under the microscope to removing skin cancer through Mohs surgery and performing reconstructive surgery following treatment. 

Desrosiers earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia in Macon. He also holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi. 

In addition to patient care, Desrosiers serves as an assistant professor at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to dermatology textbook chapters and presented his research at national dermatology meetings.
