Marshall Health Network brings heart failure care together at HIMG campus
Friday, October 2, 2026
Marshall Health Network’s heart failure services are now located at HIMG, 3075 U.S. Route 60 in Huntington. Patients previously seen at the Erma Ora Byrd Clinical Center are now receiving care at HIMG alongside the existing Heart Failure Clinic.
The move supports the continued growth and integration of advanced cardiovascular services across Marshall Health Network and provides patients convenient access to cardiology specialists, diagnostic services and other cardiovascular resources available on the HIMG campus.
Heart failure patients will continue to receive comprehensive care from Marshall Health Network’s cardiovascular team, including interventional cardiologists Drs. Mehiar El-Hamdani, Adee Elhamdani, Jason Mader, Rameez Sayyed and Samian Sulaiman.
“Our focus is ensuring continuity of care and maintaining access to high-quality heart failure services for our patients,” said El-Hamdani, who serves as professor and chair of cardiovascular services at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “Unifying these services at HIMG strengthens collaboration among our cardiovascular specialists and creates a more seamless experience for patients receiving ongoing treatment and follow-up care.”
Marshall Health Network’s Heart Failure Clinic provides diagnosis, treatment and long-term management for patients with heart failure, with a focus on improving quality of life, reducing hospitalizations and managing complex cardiovascular conditions through personalized treatment, advanced therapies and ongoing monitoring.
