Marshall Health Network Tuition Assistance Award Program
Healthcare professions are incredibly rewarding and in-demand careers. But the cost of higher education can often be an obstacle for students wishing to pursue jobs in the healthcare field. To help more students have the opportunity to fulfill their career dreams, Marshall Health Network (MHN) is launching a tuition assistance award program to help students pay for nursing, respiratory care or medical imaging programs.
What is the MHN Tuition Assistance Award Program?
The program awards tuition and expenses covering courses, books, resources and fees to selected students admitted to St. Mary's Schools of Nursing, Respiratory Care or Medical Imaging.
OR
Up to $5,000 per semester for four semesters to selected students admitted to another participating program.
What Do I Need to Do to Qualify?
- Have a 2.5 overall GPA
- Agree to work at Cabell Huntington Hospital or St. Mary’s Medical Center for a three-year or five-year full-time work commitment, upon graduation.
What are the Requirements for Remaining in the Program?
You will need to maintain an overall 2.0 GPA to remain in the program.
What Schools are Participating?
- St. Mary's School of Respiratory Care
- St. Mary's School of Medical Imaging
- St. Mary’s School of Nursing
- Marshall University School of Nursing
- Ohio University Southern Campus (nursing students only)
- Ashland Community & Technical College (nursing students only)
Who is Eligible?
- Graduating high school students accepted into a participating program
- Students already attending/enrolled in an approved healthcare program
How Do I Apply?
Students should fill out the application form and follow the instructions listed for submission. Students will also need to follow the scholarship application guidelines and deadlines for their selected program.
Once students have completed a semester in their respective program, a semester completion form must be submitted to Alrena Labus.
