Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH), a member of Marshall Health Network (MHN), has once again achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery and a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, recognized for providing the highest quality of care and patient safety by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
Status as an accredited facility means that CHH has met nationally and internationally recognized standards. CHH has received this designation for six years in a row.
“Our outstanding minimally invasive surgical care is validated by the SRC accreditation,” said Tim Martin, chief operating officer, CHH. “Our experienced surgeons understand that minimally invasive surgery benefits patients by enhancing their recovery process. At CHH, we believe that everyone deserves the best possible care, and we strive to deliver on that promise every day.”
Minimally invasive surgery offers numerous patient benefits including:
- Shorter hospital stays
- Less post-operative pain and faster recovery
- Less scarring
- Quicker return to normal activities
SRC develops and administers best-in-class accreditation programs for surgeons, hospitals and freestanding outpatient facilities throughout the world. The goal of the Center of Excellence program is to improve patient safety and satisfaction, increase access to minimally invasive procedures and provide data-driven results.
"We’re proud to recognize Cabell Huntington Hospital for their commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients,” said Gary M. Pratt, CEO of SRC. “This accreditation signals this hospital is among the best in this specialty and is dedicated to delivery of the highest level of care possible.”
