Monday, May 13, 2024

As part of its centennial celebration, St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC), a member of Marshall Health Network (MHN), is hosting a free carnival and health fair for the community. The event will be held Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Medical Center in the parking lot at New Baptist Church located at 2827 Fifth Avenue in Huntington.

Community members are invited to enjoy the children’s carnival featuring inflatables, face painting, teddy bear clinic, ponies, and more. Attendees can also take advantage of free health screenings for all ages, a pop-up market, and vendors.

“Throughout 2024, we are celebrating the legacy of St. Mary’s Medical Center while honoring the rich tradition of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters,” said Greg Creasy, director of spiritual care and mission integration at St. Mary’s. “As a part of this celebration, we knew we wanted to host an event that would bring together the community that has meant so much to our Sisters. We hope everyone in Huntington and beyond will join us for this special event and help us honor the incredible impact of our Pallottine Missionary Sisters.”

The carnival will also have a “Superhero Station” featuring our local first responder heroes. Free food and drink will be available.
